NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia became the beneficiary of the tender 2023 announced by the RA Science Committee for the purchase of scientific devices/equipment in order to furnish scientific centers with modern equipment. As a result of the financing, NUACA acquired the “Mobile Complex Laboratory for Road Measuring” (КП-514 RDT) device.

The device is of great importance in the field of automobile transportation and traffic organization for researching the causes of road accidents, evaluating dangerous areas and developing practical proposals aimed at increasing traffic safety. The device will make it possible to match the quality of NUACA education with the high and modern global educational standards, to prepare competitive qualified personnel, as well as to ensure the development of students’ scientific research and practical skills, along with the use of the latest technologies for the delivery of theoretical material.

In order to study the technical condition and operational indicators of the roads, conduct professional analysis and develop the necessary safety measures, it is required to perform a multi-faceted survey with measuring and recording instruments. A number of researches carried out with the device will enable to make additions and corrections in the IV-11.05.02-99 “Automotive Roads” construction norms of the RA CN.

The device will enable undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students to analyze various problems of traffic organization and the activities of road operating companies, as well as to select the actual values of the necessary parameters during traffic accident investigations.

In addition to being used for research purposes, the Mobile Laboratory will provide an opportunity to carry out studies on the implementation of passenger transportation on fixed routes, the classification of road safety in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, and the selection of rational and safe routes for passenger and cargo transportation.

The Measuring Mobile Complex Laboratory is furnished with the latest science and technology equipment, which will allow to carry out research activities in accordance with international standards.
