NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
Today, Gnel Sanosyan, the RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, paid a visit to National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.
The Minister together with NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan, Deputy Minister Christine Ghalechyan and the Executive Director of the “Road Department” Fund Gor Avetisyan took a tour around the University, got acquainted with the University laboratories, furnished with modern equipment.
After the tour a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.
Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure emphasized the importance of cooperation with the University. The Minister was pleased to state that the equipment in NUACA laboratories is one of a kind in Armenia. “It is obvious that the University has a great potential, scientific thought, and new ideas in the field of road construction, reservoir construction and other activities carried out in the field of construction, which should be applied in practice. We are ready for that cooperation. The new achievements of science must be immediately brought to the field of construction and the outdated methods must be given up. It is highly important that the University has scientific potential, necessary tools, and laboratory equipment, which make the University more competitive,” emphasized the Minister.
NUACA Rector also highlighted the importance of the cooperation with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure not only in regard to education, but also science, stating: “We are already closely cooperating with the “Road Department” Fund, the positive result of which is apparent and NUACA students feel it in practice. I hope that apart from educational-scientific programmes, the scientific potential of the University can also be applicable in other priority programs of the field.”
After signing the Memorandum, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure delivered a lecture for NUACA students, entitled “The Automobile Road Network of the Republic of Armenia: Development Trends and Perspectives”.
