NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
Within the framework of the cooperation between National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia and the Francophone University Agency (AUF), a master class was held for the University students at ACCEA which was conducted by the French-Armenian famous photographer Antoine Agoudjian, who is in the Republic of Armenia for his solo exhibition entitled “The Cry of Silence: Traces of an Armenian Memory”.
Antoine Agoudjian shared his thirty years of experience with the students, revealing to them the secrets, nuances and required skills of photography. Antoine Agoudjian stated that he is the heir of grandparents, who were survivors of the Genocide and whose black and white photos were dedicated to the historical memory of the Armenians. Working in different conflict zones, Antoine Agoudjian has created illustrations where the story, its traces and reactions break the forced silence.
Switching to colour photography in 2015, Antoine created a new phase in his art, transferring from the memories of the past to documenting present moments.
Among the participants there were students interested in photography, who in a direct dialogue tried to get as much professional advice as possible from the Master, who emphasized the need to do any work with great dedication and quality.
