To foster the ties between NUACA and “Politecnico di Milano” and with a new exchange programme the head of Restoration Department at the “Politecnico di Milano” Gayane Kaznati arrived to our University on 19 July.
To discuss the current and ambitious projects Mrs. Kaznati was hosted by the NUACA Provost Gagik Galstyan who greeted the guest and thanked her for her co-operative efforts emphasizing the importance of research programmes in the frames of such co-operation.
Our students have participated in educational and research activities at “Politecnico di Milano” which was mostly appreciated by the sides present at the meeting from the perspective of making the educational process more affordable and stimulating.
Provost Galstyan and Mrs. Kaznati discussed also the prospects of equipping and developing NUACA’s newly established laboratory of monuments’ surveying and diagnosis. Gayane Kaznati noticed that already a wider space is allocated for the lab due to which the devices will be more noticeable and the activities will be easier and more effective to carry out there. She also extended the commitment of “Politecnico di Milano” in supporting our University in the implementation of projects aimed at preservation and restoration of our architectural heritage.
During the meeting Mrs. Kaznati also raised the question of inviting our three lecturers to “Politecnico di Milano” for the exchange program, as they are interested especially in Soviet Architecture and would welcome the reports of our lectures dedicated to this theme.
