NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

On December 9, by the initiative of the Student Council, informal meeting was held with the newly elected Acting Rector of NUACA Yeghiazar Vardanyan. Honorable President of the Student Council Hovsep Hoveyan was also present at the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Student Council Armen Harutyunyan welcomed and congratulated Mr. Vardanyan, wishing him an effective, accomplished activity and expressed students’ full support to the reforms expected in the university. Armen Harutyunyan presented the members of the Student Council Presidency to the Acting Rector.

Greeting the students, Yeghiazar Vardanyan presented his activity at the university from 2001 up to now, as well as his vision of enhancing the quality of education in the near future, he also emphasized the role and importance of the Student Council, reaffirming his slogan – “The university is for the students; the locomotive of the university is the faculty”. 

The two-hour meeting was full of substantive discussions and exchanges of ideas, students made numerous proposals that can contribute to the development and progress of the university, while improving the student environment at the university. At the end of the meeting, a mutual agreement was reached between the Student Council and the Rector to meet again a month later and present the work on making the proposals made a reality.
