COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN NUACA AND FAI “ROSDORNII” (RUSSIAN ROAD SCIENTIFIC-RESEARCH INSTITUTE) HAS BEEN SIGNED

A cooperation agreement has been signed between National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia and Federal Autonomous Institution “Russian Road Scientific-Research Institute” (FAI “ROSDORNII”), aimed at developing new approaches to scientific and practical cooperation in the field of road transport. 

Director General of Federal Autonomous Institution “Russian Road Scientific-Research Institute”  Stanislav Naboko, Deputies Arthur Romanenko, Sergey Otroschenko, Senior Advisor to the Director General Vladimir Martinson and Advisor to the Deputy Director General Viktor Ostrikov were hosted at the University.

Accompanied by the University representatives, the guests toured around the Educational-Scientific Laboratories of Construction Materials and Products, Protection and Efficient Use of Water Resources and Environment, Geodesy, Soil Mechanics, as well as Road Construction Testing Laboratory. After the site visit, a film screening about the University took place; afterwards a round table discussion on the potential approaches to the establishment and development of cooperation was held.

NUACA Vice-Rector for International Relations Vardges Yedoyan stated in his opening speech: “I am convinced that there is a wide range of mutual interests and we are ready to carry out joint actions for the achievement of shared interests and common goals”.

Director General of Federal Autonomous Institution “Russian Road Scientific-Research Institute” Stanislav Naboko highly evaluated the material and technical equipment of the University laboratories, noting that, in the future, it may be more effectively involved in joint scientific-research and scientific-practical projects. A proposal was made to exchange the potential of the scientific and technical bases of the two institutions for joint projects and practical experiments.

Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Manuk Barseghyan conveyed the welcome speech of NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan, quoting: “We are confident that the signing of a bilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of road transport will be a stimulus for the establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation”.

According to the agreement, the parties consented to conduct joint scientific research, to apply the findings of scientific research in scientific reports, articles, textbooks and other publications, to develop and implement joint academic programmes in the field of road transport, to conduct joint events, field experiments and projects.

Both institutions emphasized the importance of student involvement in road construction projects and in the construction process.
