CONSTRUCTION FACULTY SEES ONLY THE BUILDER GAGIK GALSTYAN IN THE POSITION OF RECTOR

Yesterday, November 14, the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Construction convened a session, the agenda of which included a number of important issues. Firstly, at the meeting, a new methodological manual was presented and sent for publication, and then questions of the absence and certification of students were discussed.

Issues related to the end of Rector Gagik Galstyan’s tenure, the possible re-election and the work done at the university over the past 5 years were also on the agenda.

The meeting was attended by the Dean and Vice Deans of the Faculty of Construction, the Heads of the Faculty’s six chairs, and students included in the Faculty’s Scientific Council. Speaking about the upcoming elections at the university, Dean David Grigoryan announced that, if G. Galstyan be nominated, he would support his candidacy.

The views expressed during the discussion were numerous, but all of them had one content. Being unanimously in favor of Rector Galstyan’s re-election, the audience substantiated their views with a number of arguments. First they emphasized G. Galstyan’s high human qualities, which is extremely important for being a university leader. They highly praised the university’s rapid development in recent years – drastic improvement of the building conditions, park improvement, renovation and build of the laboratories. They highlighted the importance of a number of local and international scientific and professional events held at the University and the great contribution made by G. Galstyan.

In support of Gagik Galstyan, the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Construction was unanimous: G. Galstyan should continue his tenure as rector, which is primarily necessary for the university itself, in order to ensure the development of achievements and successes acquired over recent years.
