NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
Since 1985, architects around the world have celebrated their professional international holiday, World Architecture Day, on the first Monday of October. This important holiday was established by the International Union of Architects (UIA) to highlight the significance of Architecture in the development of cities and human habitats. World Habitat Day and World Cities Day are celebrated in October as well.
On behalf of the entire academic staff of the University and myself, I extend our congratulations to all Armenian architects wishing them a creative and fruitful working year. Armenian architecture is an architectural style created and used by the Armenian people in the Armenian Highlands and beyond its borders.
Since the Stone Age in the Armenian Highlands, people have been constructing homes and adorning them with artificial ancient objects. Continuing to evolve, Armenian architecture maintains its significance to this day, rooted in the rich traditions of national culture.
I wish Armenian architects to continue bringing their ideas to life beneath the peaceful sky of Armenia. As for National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, it will continue to educate, bring up and issue new generations of competitive architects, who will further contribute to the advancement of both Armenian and, why not, world architecture.
Congratulations on your day, architect!
