The meeting of Italians with our country was as warm as the Armenian spring sun. Starting from the border, members of the delegation of Italian architects admitted that it was impossible not to fall in love with Armenians and Armenia.
But let’s start from the beginning. As we have already informed, tomorrow, on March 22, the Italian Design Days will be celebrated at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. Within the framework of the event, famous Italian architects Livio Sacchi, Stefano Ragazzo, Francesco Manyani, Barbara Camochini and research engineer Mauro Annunziato arrived in Armenia to be present at the opening ceremony of architectural and design projects exhibition and conduct a course of lectures.
Before arriving in Yerevan, Italian artists visited and wondered with Armenian historical and cultural sites. In the Sanahin and Haghpat monastery complexes inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the Italian guests received an indescribable impression, and when the accompanying assistant of the Theory of Architecture, Restoration and Reconstruction of Historical and Architectural Heritage, Fine Arts and History Department Arev Samuelyan voiced the magical melodies of Sayat-Nova, they were convinced that the Armenian history and culture are unique.
However, our guests needed very little time to make sure that Armenian hospitality and cuisine were also unique. Starting from the current honey-like jam and traditional dishes to the fragrant wine sprinkled with the word “kenatsd” with Italian accent .For the first time to come to Armenia and not to see Sevan, it’s the same thing to not understand how tastes and smell of Armenian water and air.
The first day, saturated with Armenia, should be completed; tomorrow will be no less responsible and exciting day.
