The final-year master’s degree students of the three professional chairs of the Faculty of Architecture, who had submitted their projects yet in their first year, participated in the competition entitled “Modernization of Historical-Architectural Environment.” The six best works selected on the first stage of the Competition will be presented to our attention. I am sure that all works have a great chance to become the best and regardless of the result, all the participants have already achieved success, because they have reached this important stage. I attach great importance to holding the Award Ceremony and wish us a productive work.”
Before presenting the works, Mr. Vardanyan gifted the book of paintings by the People’s Painter and Honourary Artist of the Republic of Armenia, NUACA Professor Hrant Tadevosyan to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania. In the selection process of the presented projects, particular emphasis was placed on the student’s desire to preserve the old and present it in a new way. The detailed work carried out by the student was yet another point to attach importance to.
After studying and discussing the projects, the Competition Committee declared the winner of the Competition – the second-year master’s degree student of the Chair of Theory, History and Heritage of Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture Karine Karen Hakobyan.
