FROM THE SERIES OF “NUACA COMPETITION VICTORIES”

NUACA students and academic staff often return from the international competitions with victories. Recently, in the studio of the Faculty of Architecture, the students have been awarded with prizes for 16 successful graduation projects of the Faculty of Architecture for 2020-2021 academic year submitted to the review-contests (13 were awarded with first-class certificates and 3 were awarded with second-class certificates).

Subsequently, the achievements of 2 teams with 5 members from the University, who participated in the international review-contest, organized by Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, PRC, were presented. We are pleased to announce that one of the teams (supervisors: PhD in Architecture, Professor Anna Yengoyan and Associate Professor Anahit Vardanyan from the Chair of Architectural Design and Design of Architectural Environment of the NUACA Faculty of Architecture) took the second place among 121 participating teams, receiving a special certificate.

The event was concluded with the congratulatory speeches and words of appreciation to both our students and their supervisors and, of course, to Hayk Asatryan, Professor at the Chair of Architectural Design and Design of Architectural Environment, who took the first place in the “Michelangelo’s Brush” contest, held in Italy with a pastel work entitled “Solo”, as well as to Grigor Babajanyan, an assistant at the same Chair. The latter took the first honorable place in the “Constructed Projects” category at the IX Minsk International Young Architects Biennale, presenting the park named after Tatul Krpeyan, the RA National Hero. G․ Babajanyan received a certificate and a medal.
