NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
Practical arrangements have already started within the scope of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed by “PROFAL” LLC and National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. “PROFAL” LLC, a leading manufacturing company of aluminum doors and windows in Armenia, hosted the students of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia on June 25.
Undergraduate students of the Faculties of Architecture, Design and Construction visited the Company’s aluminum, facade structures, glass, fusing, powder coating and furniture workshops, got acquainted with the whole production process, from raw materials to finished products, “PROFAL” specialists thoroughly presented the peculiarities of production and answered the students’ questions.
At the end of the visit, the students were greeted by Edgar Avetisyan, “PROFAL” LLC General Director, who mentioned the importance of such visits and their continuity in his speech.
“Having a professional team is a core principle for us and in this context we particularly encourage the involvement of young employees, various possible collaborations with them to support the internships, graduation paper preparation, and to assist them in some other formats. Our Company is expanding, we have major projects ahead, and therefore we are in need of new specialists to involve in our team. So, I hope that this is a very good opportunity to become an expert in your field, to become a specialist in high demand, why not, to work in “PROFAL” in the future”- Edgar Avetisyan addressed the students and added that this project is a starting point of new cooperations between “PROFAL” and the University and such events will be continuous.
In the “PROFAL” discussion room, the students also met the representatives of the Company’s Human Resource Management, Marketing, Facade and Engineering Blocks and other departments. During the question and answer session, the Head of the Human Resource Management Department of the Company introduced the students to the terms, opportunities for academic internship and practice at “PROFAL”, as well as their upcoming programs.
The future architects, designers and constructors, sharing their impressions, mentioned that they gained new knowledge and experience from the effective and valuable meeting.
“Thank you for such a warm reception. This is a great initiative for all of us, as it is very important to strengthen the ties between the theoretical knowledge gained at the University and the practical learning. The “PROFAL” team has a friendly atmosphere as well and the specialists answered all our questions with pleasure, explaining each production process in detail”- said Mane Poghosyan, a third-year student of the Faculty of Architecture.
Gevorg Tigranyan, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Design who was mostly impressed by the Company’s glass workshop, mentioned:
“It was very interesting to see the manufacturing technologies, those big machines and their work. We already know how each part, structure or door and window is produced, and later on we will be more confident in our designs, as we already know the specifics of production and what we can offer in our designs.”
It should be noted that in April of the current year “PROFAL” LLC and National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to improve the professional qualities of students, strengthen and deepen their knowledge and ensure career growth. Within the scope of the Memorandum, the students will have regular visits, academic internship and practice, meetings with the professional team of the Company and experience exchange opportunities.
