NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

How is the architecture of Yerevan with the eyes of French students, what would they like to see instead of existing residential buildings and what they offer?

These observations were at the core of the projects of the Master’s 1st year students at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, Juliet Vierushevsky and Marie Mujino. Within the framework of the cooperation between Lyon National Higher School of Architecture and NUACA, students studding in our university were interested in residential buildings located in the 3rd district of Yerevan.

The French women, led by the assistant of the chair of theory of architecture, restoration and reconstruction of historical-architectural heritage, fine arts and history Arev Samuelyan, studied the area and redesigned it according to their thinking and perceptions, which envisage the same facades of buildings, cultural and commercial centers, and underground parking spaces. Project defense was very active, sprinkled with different opinions and remarks.
