NUACA HOSTED THE DELEGATION OF THE KURDISTAN ENGINEERS UNION

At the invitation of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA) hosted the delegation, led by President of the Kurdistan Engineers Union of Iraq (KEU) Abdulrahman Ali Mohammad, which included KEU Vice–President Salahuddin F. Mohialdin, member of Supreme Council Philips Petrus Rasho, as well as KEU member Yarvant Nissan Marcus, who is of Armenian origin.

The guests had an introductory tour around the laboratories of Construction Chemistry, Building Materials and Items, and Geodesy, as well as got acquainted with the scientific research potential and technical capabilities of the University. Then a meeting was held with the Management of the University, which was attended by Rector Manuk Barseghyan, Vice-Rector for International Relations V. Yedoyan, Head of the Science Department S. Tovmasyan, Head of the Center for Education Quality Assurance and Development V. Hovhannisyan, as well as Deans of the Faculties.

During the Meeting, representatives of the Kurdistan delegation presented the history, activities, and structure of the Kurdistan Engineers Union, which began its activities in 2000 and currently has around 26,000 engineers as members.

Possibilities for educational-scientific and academic cooperation were discussed. NUACA confirmed its readiness to provide higher education in Architecture, Construction, Design, and Management at the undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels, both for citizens of Kurdistan and representatives of the Armenian community.

The guests emphasized that they are ready to support the establishment of cooperation with universities in Kurdistan specializing in Architecture, Construction, and Management, which will contribute to the strengthening of academic and scientific connections between the two countries.
