National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, attaching importance to the role of partnership and cooperation in the field of education and specialization of students, as well as the need to activate urban life in the RA communities, to improve academic and training programmes and to apply them at the business level, signed a memorandum with Ani Community.
At the beginning of the event, NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan welcomed the guests and presented his visions and upcoming plans in the Community, both long-term and mid-term. The Chief of Ani Community Arman Saribekyan extended his gratitude to the Rector for not rejecting the offer to sign the Memorandum and noted that, while attaching importance to all the RA universities, one cannot but highlight the significance of the Memorandum to be signed with National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, because today the University is an integral part of almost all important urban planning programmes implemented in the RA. In addition, most of the solutions to the problems faced by the Community are related to the graduates issued by the University and without the potential of the latter it is not possible to solve the problems faced by the Community.
Within the framework of the Memorandum, a visit of students and young specialists to the Community will be organized in the near future to get acquainted with the urban development problems there. According to the agreement, a group of students from the Faculty of Construction will receive a task to solve various applied problems of the Community, which they must complete in the upcoming semester, while students from the Faculties of Architecture and Design will carry out both garden improvement and facade design projects, which will be implemented in the future.
