The 2nd year students of the “Tourism” specialty of the Faculty of Urban Economy and Ecology of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, led by their lecturer, PhD in Natural Sciences, Associate Professor Zaruhi Hayryan, conducted a practical training in the “Fundamentals of Tourism” subject in Meghradzor Village, Kotayk Marz.
The visit was quite substantive: students returned with vivid impressions and ample information about that village. They got acquainted with the rural and historical-cultural tourism of the Marz, participated in the gastronomic festival, master classes, and visited the Tezharuyk Monastery. They interacted with the residents and children of the village, studied the natural and cultural resources of Meghradzor Village. Then a new gastronomic and rural tour package was developed by the students, which was extremely exciting for the residents, and it received high praise.
It is really important to organize such events for students, universities, marzes and villages. “Fundamentals of Tourism” is an important subject, which provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the peculiarities of national culture.
