In cooperation with the Francophone University Agency (AUF), within the framework of the Bi-Monthly Francophonie Program on May 17, NUACA students of the preparatory group for foreign citizens, as well as students at the Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Construction, and Faculty of Urban Economy and Ecology, accompanied by Arev Samuelyan, Head of the Department of International and Inter-University Cooperation, Tatevik Hakobyan, Head of the Department of Foreign Students, and Nune Hovhannisyan, Coordinator-responsible person for the Centre for Academic Achievements of NUACA Francophone University Agency, paid an educational visit to “Quadrum” Armenian-French architectural studio and Dvin historical capital.
During the visit the students got acquainted with the design activities of the “Quadrum” Armenian-French architectural studio. The implemented and ongoing programs, the process of preservation of historical and cultural heritage, as well as the design of residential and social buildings were presented.
In order to study the theoretical knowledge gained in the studio in a practical environment, the visit continued in Dvin, the ancient capital of Armenia, where the group members got acquainted with the restoration and improvement activities carried out in the archeological site, while the diaspora and foreign students were given another chance to get acquainted with the centuries-old Armenian historical and cultural heritage. Dvin, having a rich archeological heritage, in case of proper fortification, restoration and museumization, can provide an interesting and meaningful exhibition, becoming a unique historical, cultural and educational center of the region.
