University with a 100-Year History
Emma Harutyunyan, the Associate Professor of the NUACA Chair of the Theory of Architecture, Restoration and Reconstruction of the Architectural Heritage, Fine Arts and History was at the University of Applied Sciences of Rhineland, Germany on 4-10 March 2018. The purpose of her visit was to attend the Jacobus + 23 Annual Student Design Workshop in the scope of Erasmus+ Programme.
Students from the University of Coruña, Regensburg, Clermont Ferrand’s High School of Architecture and the NUACA, totally 58 students, attended the workshops. Regensburg has a grain preservation complex, which is an industrial and historical monument, that will not be utilized in the future. Students were given a task of offering architectural and contextual new approaches for the further utilization of the complex. During the whole week, the students visited the area, got acquainted with the task, developed their suggestions and concepts in 11 groups. The students presented their ideas and explanations to the lecturers and received certificates of participation.
