“The Implementation of National and Sectorial Qualifications Frameworks in Armenia” Tempus project (hereinafter ARMENQA) launched on February 3th 2014 in Linkȍping University (Sweden). Seventeen partner universities and institutions of RoA and EU are involved in the project for the purpose to enhance the employability of Armenian HEIs’ graduates and facilitate the recognition of Armenian qualifications in the labor market nationally and internationally. The project is aimed to development of National and Sectorial Qualification Frames for five areas (hereinafter NQF and SQF) in Armenia. The project working group of National University of Architecture and Construction (NUACA) is engaged in development NQF and SQF in Civil Engineering.
Two-day training on “Finalizing SQF in Civil Engineering and using NQFA and SQF for shaping programmes of high education” took place at the NUACA on December 9 and 12, 2016. The goal of the training was to finalize the SQF for Civil Engineering and to learn how the NQF and SQF have to be used for shaping of programme/course/module learning outcomes for high education. Academic staff and students of NUACA, representatives of employers and other stakeholders in civil engineering area, as well as Professor Janerik Lundquist who is project coordinator from Linkȍping University in Sweden participated in the training. NUACA Vice Rector of Foreign Relationship Vardges Yedoyan welcomed participants. The training organizers (Head of the Center of Quality Assurance (CQA) Varazdat Hovhannisyan, senior specialist of CQA Irina Vanyan, Dean of Architecture Faculty Sargis Tovmasyan, Head of Study programs development department Angin Martirosyan) presented and discussed numerous issues regarding the theme, particularly learning outcome approach, Bloom’s taxonomy; mapping programme /courses/ modules towards programme learning outcomes; allocation of ECTS credits to the unit courses/modules, etc. At the end of the training participants were given a participation certificate.
