The visit of the NUACA Head of the Chair of the Theory of Architecture, Restoration and Reconstruction of the Historical Heritage, Fine Arts and History, Associate Professor Emma HARUTYUNYAN at the National School of Architecture of Clermont Ferrand was on a multitasking purpose. Mrs. Harutyunyan participated in the annual student design workshop and presented her report on “The Application of New Technologies in the Field of Historic Monuments Preservation” at that seminar.
This time, students worked on the Roman era in the history of the city of Clermont-Ferrand. The assignment of the student week project was decided to be a “Surprise in the City”, in the scope of which the participants were assigned to develop approaches to make the ancient gate of the fortress lost in the reconstruction works a more focal point and accessible for the public view. As the part of this task, the students presented suggestions that were evaluated by by the committee. As a result, one work won the grand prize, the other was entitled to an encouraging prize and all students obtained their certificates of participation.
