NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

Hrant Tadevosyan (Tatoss), People’s Painter of the Republic of Armenia, Honorary Professor of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, was awarded with Kandinsky Medal.

During the event held at Martiros Sarian House-Museum, by the decision of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, three Armenian painters- Hrant Tadevosyan, Nerses Melikyan and Shmavon Shmavonyan, were awarded with medals named after the famous Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky.

The medals were handed over to the artists by Martik Gasparyan, academician, nominee for Nobel Prize in Economics and Peace for 2020 and 2021.

The event was also marked by the birth of the idea of restoring Martiros Saryan Medal, to which the attending artists expressed their support.
