The results of the election for the Rector of the “National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia” Foundation were approved at the session of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the Minister’s report, on January 31, 2025, a competition was held to fill the vacant position of the Rector of the “National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia” Foundation, in which a sole candidate, Doctor of Sciences (Physics) Manuk Gevorg Barseghyan participated.
The competition was held in accordance with the Charter of the “National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia” Foundation and the election procedure for the Rector, approved by the Board of Trustees. Eighteen out of the twenty members of the Board participated in the Session. The election of the Rector took place in one stage, as a result of which Manuk Barseghyan was elected as the Rector of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia by a secret ballot of the members of the Board of Trustees.
In her speech, Zhanna Andreasyan noted: “Manuk Barseghyan has been successfully fulfilling the duties of the Rector for about a year and has managed to ensure the normal activity of the University during this time. NUACA is one of our most dynamically developing universities, where a significant increase in the number of students has been recorded in recent years.”
Manuk Barseghyan extended his gratitude for the trust and noted that it was a great honor for him to lead one of the best universities of the Republic of Armenia, which has consistently achieved remarkable successes in the fields of education and science. Mr. Barseghyan assured that his experience and knowledge would contribute to the development of the education and science of the University. Mr. Barseghyan also informed that the University had recently become a full member of the European Association for Architectural Education, among many universities with international reputation.
