THE CHIEF ARCHITECT HAS MUCH TO SAY AND THE EXCITEMENT OF FUTURE ARCHITECTS IS IMMEASURABLE

“My dear: architecture is not a profession, but the essence of human. You should love it, so that people will accept your work. “Who could be more figuratively presenting the architect’s profession to the students, if not the chief architect of Yerevan?

Today Artur Meschyan was at our university. It is impossible to describe students’ enthusiasm, one need to see it.

The rector Gagik Galstyan welcomed the chief architect, noting that the University is so excited to see its former alumni again.

The questions of the students were numerous and varied – Arthur Meschyan’s answers were kind and exhaustive. The future architects were particularly concerned about the relief of the center of Yerevan, the preservation of the appearance of buildings and structures, the construction of new subway stations and the ropeway.

“We should love our city, only the love of Yerevan will save our city from disadvantages and tastelessness,” said Artur Meschyan, telling about his student years and his way to becoming a chief architect. “It’s just the master plan of Yerevan that’s over my head, there is no one dictating me, whether it’s an official or an oligarch.”
