NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The book “Archaeology of the Future” has been written within the framework of the cooperation between the Chair of Urban Planning of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia and the National School of Architecture of Saint-Etienne, France, which started as early as in 2013. 

The book contains the best works of 2019.

The subject of study and the location are selected in Yerevan or other cities of the Republic of Armenia and should represent a building of the Soviet architectural heritage in need of modernization in the urban development environment. Students meet twice- one week in Yerevan and one week in Saint-Etienne, combining active work with learning about the countries. 

The outcome of the works is not only a set of architectural solutions, but also an exchange of vast cultural experience and social relationships, which cannot but affect the further creative biography of the students. The work process was spiced with very interesting debates, exchange of views and conversations.
