THE 2024 END-OF-THE-YEAR SESSION OF THE SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL WAS HELD

The end-of-the-year Session of the Scientific Council of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia was  held.

After the approval of the agenda of the Session, Acting Rector Manuk Barseghyan presented the 2024 Annual Report, attaching importance to the significant successes recorded due to the effective work of the Academic Staff, students and partners of the University. According to the Report, in 2024 the University was able to ensure not only an increase in the number of students, but also the establishment of new academic programmes for 2024 and 2025-2026 academic years.

High results were also recorded in the field of Scientific Activity. Four University  members were awarded with the scientific degree of PhD in Sciences, four members were awarded with the academic title of Professor, and nine members were awarded with the academic title of Associate Professor. Numerous scientific programs and events were held at the University with the active participation of young scientists.

One of the noteworthy achievements was the establishment of the Center of Excellence of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, which is one of a kind in the region and focuses on programs for the preservation and development of housing stock of historical and cultural value.

At the end of the Session, Mr. Barseghyan presented the priorities of the University for 2025, which include the increase of the efficiency of academic processes, development of the scientific directions and strengthening of the international reputation, as well as the introduction of innovative approaches to management and work organization. Mr. Barseghyan also noted that it is envisaged to increase the salaries of lecturers, administrative and educational-supporting staff in 2025.

Summing up, the 2024 reporting session of the Scientific Council of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia became a unique platform for summarizing the achievements of the University and outlining future strategic directions. Discussing the prospects for 2025, the University strives to become a more competitive and prestigious educational institution, both in Armenia and in the region.
