NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
Today there was a multinational zealousness at NUACA. In the frames of the agreement signed between NUACA and French Saint Etienne National Higher Architectural School in 2012 once again French students have paid their working visit to our university. Headed by French Saint Etienne National Higher Architectural School lecturers Raffi Bedrosyan and Andre Solne 12 students from diverse nationalities arrived to our University.
The NUACA Rector Gagik Galstyan greeted students and lecturers stressing the importance of working visits established already on a strong basis of collaboration. Rector Galstyan noticed that during these years and within the frames of collaboration the number of exchange programs for the lecturers and more than 90 students is a serious claim for strengthening and fostering the collaboration and its perspectives. Rector also emphasized the importance of French Saint Etienne National Higher Architectural School’s Director Jacque Port’s visit to our University on March 30.
The multilingual and multinational students will not hinder the working process, as the common working language among them will be the architecture according to French Saint Etienne National Higher Architectural School’s lecturer Andre Solne.
NUACA Head of Urban Construction Chair and organizer of events Zara Mamyan explained the theme of the workshops dedicated to the modernization and reconstruction of the residential building located in Yerevan’s Hakob Paronyan Street and designed for the theatre artists. During the working days students will form groups and study the building erected in 1969 and will try to find beneficial solutions for its novel reconstruction and presentation. Those solutions well be converted into draft plans and be submitted for joint discussions.
Study visits will be organized to Tsitsernakaberd memorial, Garni temple, Khor Virap and Geghard monasteries for the foreign students arrived from France.
