PROMISING COOPERATION BETWEEN NUACA AND ARCTIC UNIVERSITY OF NORWAY

Within the framework of a two-year academic cooperation program between the Arctic University of Norway (AUN) and the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA), the Norwegian delegation, consisting of the Dean of Construction, Energy and Materials Science Faculty Sorensen Bjorn, Project Coordinator for Academic Cooperation between the 2 Universities Yizhong Xu, Project Managers Mohammad Mustafa and Rainish Kelly and Researcher Iveta Novikova.

Greeting the guests, Rector Gagik Galstyan noted that the delegation is in Armenia on the symbolic days, when the whole world focused on the 23rd World Congress on Information Technology 2019 (WCIT) being held in our country. This workshop is also a good opportunity to crate future youths and professionals by developing and implementing collaborative programs. “We highly value the cooperation with the Arctic University of Norway and I hope that our University has a high potential in this field and is always ready to keep forward” said the Rector.

The delegation of the Arctic University expressed its satisfaction with both the Armenian hospitality and the effective cooperation with NUACA, sharing Rector Galstyan’s view that discussions and new projects on fields of mutual interest have a tendency to make the future more secure and comfortable.

Dean of the Faculty of Construction David Grigoryan, Chairman of Production Technology of Construction Materials, Items and Structures Artavazd Arzumanyan, Vice-Rector for International Relations V. Edoyan and Head of the Chair of Ventilation, Gas and Heat Supply Anna Karamyan were present at the meeting. At the end of the project it is planned to develop joint educational programs on energy saving and sustainable construction.
