As part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War, a poster competition dedicated to the heroic deed shown by the Armenian people during the war years was held at National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia.
The competition was initiated by Dean of the Faculty of Design Artashes Melikyan, with the support of the “Russian House” (Rossotrudnichestvo) and the “South Caucasus Railway” Company.
The main aim of the Competition was to contribute to the preservation of historical memory and the strengthening of the value system of national pride and gratitude among generations. In their works, the participants expressed the spirit of the war years, the heroism of the Armenian soldier, and the power of national resistance, emphasizing the main ideas of the Competition such as “Memory is Stronger Than Time” and “No One is Forgotten, Nothing is Forgotten.”
13 students of NUACA Faculty of Design participated in the Competition, and presented their works in the digital illustration genre. As a result of the voting of the professional jury, the works of University students Angelika Andreasyan, Seryozha Mikayelyan, and Mary Margaryan advanced to the final stage.
All three winners will be awarded with a professional trip to Moscow to participate in the creative program of the Senezh Youth Camp. In addition, the winning students will be awarded with souvenirs and certificates.
The winners’ works will be exhibited throughout August 2025 at all railway stations in Armenia and on South Caucasus Railway trains, making the creative spirit of young people accessible to the public.
From May 6-10, the best works of the Competition will be displayed on a large screen on Northern Avenue, Yerevan, accompanied by music, turning this initiative into a true celebration of art and memory.
