NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The delegation of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia participated in the series of International Seminars entitled “Whole Process Engineering Consulting Management of EPC Projects in the Construction Sector for Developing Countries” held in the People’s Republic of China. The delegation was presented by lecturers of the Faculty of Construction and the Faculty of Management and Technology Satenik Hayrapetyan, Mariam Khachatryan and Arman Margaryan.

The Seminar was held at the Chinese Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO) by the Ministry of Commerce of China. The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Armenia actively supported the participation of the delegation of our University in the event.

The International Seminar was also attended by the representatives of sectoral state institutions and private construction organizations of Sri Lanka, Moldova, Nepal, Brunei, Thailand and Iraq.

The aim of the Seminar held in China was to help universities and organizations in developing countries train engineering consultants and project management professionals in the Construction field. The participants were presented with the software package for Engineering Management of the entire process of EPC (Engineering, Procurement Process, Construction) construction projects, due to which it is possible to completely manage the construction process and increase its productivity. Particular attention was paid to the use of Artificial Intelligence, BIM systems and the concept of “Smart City” at the design stage.

Vice-Rector for International Relations Vardges Yedoyan, Dean of the Faculty of Construction Aram Sahakyan, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Technology Marine Grigoryan, Heads of the Chairs, academic staff and students attended the presentation and summarization of the results of the business trip.

As a result of the discussions, the report on the results of the business trip of the University representatives was highly appreciated by the attendees. It was suggested to summarize the acquired knowledge and experience, and consider its application during teaching at our University, as well as the possibilities of localization in the RA.
