NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

Armenian 2017 Women’s chess championship is completed. In the last round of the tournament, Siranush Ghukasyan from the NUACA Design Faculty lost the game, while Maria Gevorgyan won from another our student Nare Araqelyan. After the 9th round both Gevorgyan and Ghukasyan scored 6.5 points each. After the calculation of additional indicators Gevorgyan was declared the chess champion of Armenia for the second consecutive year.

Siranush Ghukasyan was so close to the title of the champion, alas not for this time. We congratulate her on this occasion as the award winner of the 2^nd place and wish her to earn the title of the champion already for the next year.
