NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
Today is International Day of Architects. In 1985, the International Union of Architects decided to celebrate World Architecture Day on the first Monday in July. However, in 1996, the 20th General Assembly of the International Union of Architects in Barcelona decided to move the World Architecture Day to the first Monday in October. Since then, the International Day of Architects, the professional holiday, has been celebrated.
Architecture is an integral part of our culture, an inseparable part of our country’s image around the world. Architecture is more than just a profession. It is a profile, a signature, a lifestyle, which, as a heritage, always accompanies our people, ensuring new achievements and rises in its cultural life. The flexible and creative mind of the architect, creating architectural masterpieces over the centuries, gave life to the stone turning them into permanent and high-value monuments.
On behalf of myself and that of all the management and academic staff of NUACA, I warmly congratulate all the Armenian architects living in Armenia and abroad on the occasion of their professional holiday, wishing them good health, brightness of mind, creative and fruitful work and dedication to the most honest profession. Let the buildings and structures built under the peaceful Armenian sky, as the output of a creative and powerful architectural mind, become the beautiful and eternal proof of the identity of all Armenians.
Dear Colleagues, I am confident that the 100-year-old forge of Architecture and Construction will continue to educate and bring up new generations of architects, whose activities will be a milestone for the reflection and development of the Armenian architectural mind.
Congratulations on your day, architect!
