The 25th anniversary of the formation of the Water Committee was solemnly celebrated recently. The event was attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan, President of the Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachaturyan, Chairman of the Water Committee Aramazd Ghalamkaryan, as well as representatives of legislative and executive bodies and international organizations.
Congratulating the attendees, the Prime Minister in his speech touched upon the strategic significance of the management of the water field and the role of professional education, emphasizing the need to form a responsible attitude towards water and introduce effective management systems.
For their significant contribution to the water field, the Prime Minister presented awards and certificates of appreciation to a number of representatives of the field. Among the awardees was also Professor Albert Margaryan of NUACA Chair of Water Systems, Hydraulic Engineering and Hydropower
The professor has carried out many years of fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity at the University, as well as has made a great contribution to the training of engineering personnel. During his long-term activity, he has created more than 100 scientific works, including 12 inventions. He has authored 1 monograph “Hydraulic Shock and Pipeline Protection”, 1 textbook and 1 manual for irrigation system operating personnel, as well as authored numerous methodological works.
