National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA), as an academic member of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), for the first time was presented at FIG Working Week 2025 and Locate25 joint working week, which was held in Brisbane, Australia.
The Conference was attended by Head of the Chair of Engineering Geodesy of the University, PhD in Technical Science, Associate Professor Anush Margaryan, who participated in professional discussions, thematic sessions, and seminars, presenting the scientific and educational experience and positions of the University.
FIG Working Week 2025 and Locate25 brought together leading specialists, scientists and representatives of organizations from more than 120 countries. Current challenges and technological innovations in spatial data collection, processing, modeling and management were discussed during the Event. International scientific conferences, seminars, exhibitions and cooperation meetings of the field were held within the framework of the Program.
The presence of NUACA on this prestigious platform is an important step for the University in terms of expanding international cooperation, developing educational–research potential, getting acquainted with innovative experience and technologies in the field, as well as modernizing academic programmes in Geodesy, Cadastre, Spatial Data Management, and GIS.
Active involvement in such international platforms promotes the strengthening of the international visibility of the University and the continuous improvement of education quality, creating new opportunities for students, young specialists, and researchers in the field.
