The architects’ awarding ceremony was held at the Chamber of Architects of Armenia, which was attended by representatives of state structures and specialists in the field, including Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Yeghiazar Vardanyan, NUACA Rector Manuk Barseghyan and others. During the Event, medals, certificates of appreciation and diplomas were awarded on the occasion of World Architecture Day and within the framework of summing up the results of the “Architectural Works 2025. Review-Contest”.
Representatives of various structures were awarded, including architects from National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, who were awarded with medals and certificates of appreciation. Vice President of the Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Armenia, NUACA Lecturer Boris Kocharian, NUACA Associate Professor Arshavir Aghekyan, and Vice President of the Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Armenia, PhD in Architecture, Associate Professor Arev Samuelyan were awarded with Gold Medal for their significant contribution to the field of Urban Development. “Trdat Architect” Gold Medal was awarded to Head of NUACA Chair of Urban Planning, PhD in Architecture Zaruhi Mamyan, “Momik Architect” Gold Medal was awarded to Honoured Architect of the Republic of Armenia, PhD in Technical Sciences, Professor Karen Rashidyants, “Alexander Tamanyan” Gold Medal was awarded to Honoured Architect of the Republic of Armenia, PhD in Architecture, Professor Tigran Barseghyan; and the Certificate of Appreciation of the RA Urban Development Committee was awarded to Lecturer of the Chair of Urban Planning Harutyun Ghasabyan, as well as Professor of the Chair of Architectural Design and Design of Architectural Environment, PhD in Architecture Artur Manukyan.
During the Event, it was emphasized that today architects are more in demand than ever, both in the implementation of state and private programs. The importance of architectural education and the development of the professional environment was also noted, as well as the role of architects in the improvement of the quality of the city, public spaces, and the environment.
At the end of the event, awards from the Yerevan Municipality were handed over to a group of specialists.
