NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

Dean of the Faculty of Design of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia Artashes Melikyan and Deputy Director of Corporate Services and Development Directorate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia Komitas Stepanyan signed a Memorandum regarding the participation of the Faculty students in the contests for the RA token money sketches announced by the Central Bank and cooperation in other areas of mutual interest. 

            Dean of the Faculty of Design Artashes Melikyan welcomed and attached importance to the signing of the Memorandum; “The student should start developing their professional abilities and serve the Homeland from student years. This is a good platform to discover one’s potential and gain professional experience. It is a key meeting between our two institutions, and I am sure that our cooperation will be completely successful, and in case of any questions and needs the Central Bank might have regarding our sector, our University through our Faculty will always be ready to support.”

             Deputy Director of Corporate Services and Development Directorate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia Komitas Stepanyan extended his gratitude for the warm welcome, noting: “The Central Bank, as a transparent structure working in the RA, is highly interested in new specialists who will help make our commemorative coins available and known to the whole world. Our commemorative coins have won numerous awards around the world, and we are always ready to engage fresh perspectives. The Central Bank likes to challenge itself, and we are ready to be challenged by youth and come up with a new kind of design for commemorative coins. I hope we will have more stylish and bolder designs in the future.”

The first program aimed at developing the theoretical and practical knowledge of the students of the Faculty, took place within the framework of the event. Coordinator of the Central Bank Currency Issue Coordination Center Nune Teryan and specialist in the Currency Issue and Numismatics Center Lusine Ayvazyan held a professional seminar on the peculiarities of preparing sketches of the RA commemorative coins.
