Senior Interior Designer of “Mercedes-Benz” Company, Architect-Designer Avetik Kalashyan, who is also a graduate of our University, visited National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. During the Meeting, Mr. Kalashyan presented an inspiring story about his professional path, showing how he was inspired by the automotive industry from his student years and moved from sketches to actual production.
Mr. Kalashyan shared his experience at “Fiat” and “Mercedes-Benz” companies with students and academic staff. He has worked in major automobile manufacturing cities such as Milan, Turin etc.. Avetik Kalashyan is the co-author of the concept projects developed by the aforementioned companies and some of the automobiles produced.
The main target group of the Meeting were the students majoring in the “Industrial Design” academic programme of the Faculty of Design and specialists in the field.
The Dean of the Faculty of Design Artashes Melikyan welcomed the visit of the guest to the University, attached importance to the Meeting as a professional inspiration to both students and lecturers, and extended his gratitude to NUACA Professor Tigran Barseghyan for supporting the Meeting.
At the end of the Meeting, Mr. Kalashyan addressed many questions of the attendees in a Q&A format, which made the discussion longer and more interesting, emphasizing the great interest of the attendees.
