ITALIAN AMBASSADOR REAFFIRMED THE CONTINUED COOPERATION WITH NUACA

Today, the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia hosted the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Italy to Armenia Vincenzo Del Monaco. The purpose of the ambassador’s visit was to meet with the NUACA acting rector Yeghiaza Vardanyan, as well as discuss current and future plans. The university administration and faculty representatives were also present at the meeting.

After reciprocal greetings, the ambassador reaffirmed all the far-reaching plans that are already outlined and are subject to implementation. Vincenzo Del Monaco assured that the Armenian-Italian academic and scientific relationships would continue.

Yeghiazar Vardanyan, in his turn, emphasized the important circumstance that cooperation with our university and a number of high-quality Italian arts, architectural universities, conducting joint educational and cultural projects has a long biography and expressed hope that the university will use all the tools for the continued cooperation.

At the meeting, Ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco expressed his desire to organize the “Italian Design and Architecture Days 2020” at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. The ambassador added that a well-known lighting effects specialist Franz Cerram and the professors of the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples are expected to visit our university, as well as to sign a cooperation agreement between the above maintained and our university.

Acting rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan endorsed the ambassador’s proposal, noting that our students will also be actively involved during the “Italian Design and Architecture Days”.

Speaking about the further projects, Mr. Vardanyan, on behalf of the University, addressed the Ambassador with a view to conducting Italian language courses at the University, as well as assisting in expanding the role and participation of the NUACA at the Italian ROCHEMP program.
