NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
The 2nd international conference entitled “Architectural Heritage and Contemporary Architecture” (ICAHCA) and organized by National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia has launched at COAF SMART Center with the participation of Armenia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Poland.
The aim of the Conference is to identify ways to solve the urgent problems of preservation of architectural monuments and historical landscape, as well as creation of an urban environment and new comfortable spatial areas.
At the opening of the Conference, Acting Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Sargis Tovmasyan welcomed the participants օn behalf of Acting Rector of the University Manuk Barseghyan and the Management. “Science is the field of human activity that gives the opportunity to speak in the same language that everyone can understand, being the best and most effective platform of cooperation for people representing different cultures. I wish all of you productive work, and pleasant memories of the days spent in Armenia in the future.” noted Mr. Tovmasyan.
Reverend of the Mekhitarist Congregation Father Hamazasp Keshishian also delivered a welcome speech: “I am very happy to be present today and participate in this important Conference. Architectural heritage is not only a cultural asset, but also a part of our identity. It is very important to study the heritage, in this case the architectural heritage, to perceive and understand it, to be interested in it, to love and preserve it. I extend my gratitude to the organizer of the Conference, National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, and wish success, because the success of the University is the success of the scientific world and all of us Armenians.
During the three-day Conference, about 30 scientific topics will be presented with brief oral presentations, which will be published in a periodical included in the Scopus scientific information database.
