FRENCH ARCHITECTS VISITED OUR UNIVERSITY INSPIRED BY THE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF LORI REGION 

Yesterday, June 28, our University hosted the guests from French Toulon University. The French delegation consisting of 5 people and led by the restoration architect Jacques Ribery made a promising study visit to our country and our University. 

The delegation is interested in the cultural heritage of  Lori region and is opt for possible collaboration with our University. On the very first day of their three-day visit, the delegation was received by the NUACA  Rector Gagik Galstyan. Welcoming the guests the Rector emphasized the close cooperation between our and French universities and expressed hope for another collaboration with Toulon University in the near future.

Today, throughout the day, the Toulon delegation had discussions with the acting head of the NUACA Chair of Theory of Architecture, Reconstruction and Restoration of  Historical-Architectural Heritage, Fine Arts and History associate professor Emma Harutyunyan, lecturers of the Chair Areg Hasratyan, Hasmik Malkhasyan, candidate of Architecture, professor Lyuba Kirakirosyan, head of the NUACA Laboratory of Monuments’ Measurement and Diagnostics Marina Buniatian and several graduates of our University. 

French architects presented their University’s experience in the field of restoration, while Marina Buniatian introduced them with the opportunities of our diagnostic laboratory and its success in particular in the creation of 3D models via three-dimensional technologies. 

Tomorrow Toulon University delegation and our team will travel to Odzun and Akhtala for field studies and measuring purposes of the monuments.
