NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

University with a 100-Year History

EXHIBITION DEDICATED TO THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF NUACA WAS HELD

Artists’ Union of Armenia hosted an exhibition of creative works by Hrant Tadevosyan (Tatoss) dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. The exhibition was attended by Chief of Staff to the RA Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan, academic staff and students of the University, representatives of art-loving society, and other honoured guests.

During the exhibition, the Master said that he is an author of about 6000 paintings. About 100 of his paintings, which he has been painting since the 90s, are displayed in the exhibition hall.

“Paintings, landscapes, portraits, and abstract art are displayed in the exhibition. I am humbled that people, looking at the painting, recognize my brushstrokes. If you are honest in your work, hardly ever it will remain unappreciated,” emphasized Mr. Tadevosyan.

According to Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff to the RA Prime Minister, he has been familiar with the Master’s works for a long time. He highlighted the role of exhibitions in terms of getting acquainted with Armenian contemporaries and disseminating their art.

“Amidst these hardships surrounding us, the Master’s paintings impart new light and hope. I always follow his art with love. I am glad that the Artists’ Union of Armenia has organized such a big event and created an opportunity for art lovers to study his works more profoundly,” noted Mr. Harutyunyan.

Rector of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia Yeghiazar Vardanyan attached great importance to Hrant Tadosyan’s presence and role in the University. He emphasized that the artist is a role model for the students.

“He is not only the Master of colours, but also the Master of upbringing, educating, friendship, and teaching. I also attach special importance to the opening of the exhibition. It represents the image of our University and at the same time the works of the Master,” said Mr. Vardanyan.

The exhibition will run until April 28.
