NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA
University with a 100-Year History
On behalf of the great army of architects, builders and developers, I welcome all of you on this important day, which has turned into a holiday. Receiving the most important certificate of professional life in Garni Temple, an architectural, construction and historical-cultural masterpiece, has a great symbolic meaning.
Dear graduates,
This day is a turning point in your life. You enter a professional practical environment with knowledge obtained at the University with a history of more than 100 years and with a document certifying professional qualification. I wish you to take your first steps with confidence, great enthusiasm in bringing your ideas to life and readiness to serve your vocation.
On the way to becoming a professional, you will find yourself in different situations. Bear in mind that the University is your guide with its academic staff and Board of Trustees. The Republic of Armenia and all of us are your anchor.
You are expected to be persistent in pursuit of your dreams, diligent, willing to constantly learn, improve your skills and acquire new knowledge from accomplished specialists.
As the Chairman of the Urban Development Committee, this day is also significant for me. I have high expectations that young people with fresh ideas and potential will appear in the professional field, who will either be recruited by the Committee or manifest their skills in the private sector and in any case will contribute to the progress of urban development in our country.
There is a direct connection between the Urban Development Committee and the University. Even during the studies, within the framework of various programs of the Committee, students are provided with the opportunity to cooperate with professionals in their field, even with foreign experts. Many employees of the Urban Development Committee also teach at the University. And due to the signed Memorandum, the “University- labour market- State” link is ensured.
On the initiative of the Government, large-scale construction programs are being implemented in the Republic today. In this regard, the role of qualified specialists is more than important. Therefore, I have to extend my sincere gratitude to the academic staff of the University for diligent, selfless, but honourable work in educating generations of architects and builders.
Once again, I extend my congratulations and wish the young specialists good luck in all their endeavours.
