NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia always considers the continuity of the University-graduate relationship important, as the University’s cooperation with the architects who have their own place and style in the labor market is mutually beneficial.

The meeting held at the University was aimed at this goal. The heads of the country’s leading architectural studios, design studios and individual architects were invited to discuss possible scope of cooperation with the University.

Acting Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Armen Shatvoryan described this project-discussion as unprecedented in the sense that our University graduates, who are already successful in their field, are given an opportunity to participate in the reforms of their alma mater, to support student-architects with advice and exchange of experience, as well as future employment.

During the meeting, the group of invited architects and the University representatives discussed all the mechanisms that would make the cooperation possible and effective. Armen Shatvoryan noted that it is planned to set up a working group, which will organize and regulate the student-private sector connection, including the internships of students in the given studio with a clear schedule, exchanges of experience, information referring to the field and profession, as well as master classes.

The attendees emphasized that the discussion on this important, long-term and effective project will be followed by the decision in the form of a memorandum or a contract.
