NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

On the occasion of the Construction Worker’s Day, the Urban Development Committee and the Union of Builders of Armenia jointly organized a festive event, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, officials of legislative and executive bodies, and representatives in the field of construction.

During the Event, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan handed over state awards to a group of builders on the occasion of the professional holiday.

The Chairman of the Committee, together with the Chairman of the Union of Builders of Armenia, awarded a group of representatives in the field with the “For Significant Contribution in the Field of Urban Development” gold medal  and a certificate of appreciation from the Urban Development Committee.

Rector of National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia Manuk Barseghyan was also awarded, whose work and leadership in recent years have played a significant role in the development of higher education and science in construction, increasing the professional potential of the field, and modernizing academic programmes. This award is not only an appreciation of personal contribution, but also an important impetus for the entire University community to continue the path of innovation, research, and increasing professional training in the field.

Devotees of the field of construction were also awarded with a Medal of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, a certificate of appreciation, the Erebuni-Yerevan 2800th anniversary commemorative medal, a certificate of appreciation from the Mayor of Yerevan, and the Title of “Honorary Builder of Yerevan”

Dean of the Faculty of Construction Aram Sahakyan, was also awarded with the Erebuni-Yerevan 2800th anniversary commemorative medal for his long-term and effective activity in the field. The awards of the Yerevan Municipality were handed over by Yerevan Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan.

The Event concluded with musical performances and a video screening about the construction field in Armenia.
