NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

H.E. Ms. Anne Louyot, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia, Guillaume Narjollet, Councilor for Cooperation and Cultural Action, and Céline Guerin, Attaché for educational and university cooperation paid a working visit to NUACA.

The meeting was attended by NUACA Rector Y․ Vardanyan, Vice-Rector for International Relations V. Yedoyan, Vice-Rector for Educational Reforms G. Stepanyan, Chief of the Staff H. Hoveyan, Head of the Department of Foreign Students T. Hakobyan, Head of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation A. Samuelyan, and Coordinator-responsible person for Centre for Academic Achievements of NUACA Francophone University Agency N. Hovhannisyan.

During the meeting the ways of inter-university cooperation were discussed, the vision of new cooperation was presented – a new postgraduate university collaboration was proposed with Chaillot School in Paris, which specializes in the preservation of cultural heritage. With the support of the Embassy of the French Republic in Armenia, every year one Armenian restoration architect will be sent to Chaillot School to teach a 2-year course. The issues regarding the participation in European programs were also discussed at the meeting.

In his welcoming speech, the Rector emphasized: “I would like to note that as a result of the long-term Armenian-French cooperation, the University receives valuable continuous support from  the Embassy of the French Republic in Armenia, for which we once again express our deepest gratitude. We attach great importance to the role and significance of the Embassy of the French Republic in Armenia, in particular, in the educational and cultural system of Armenia.”

In his speech, the Ambassador attached importance to the cooperation of the University with the famous French architectural schools.
