NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

For 13 years in a row, NUACA students  have been participating in the “Zavodnoy Apelsin” International Student Packaging Competition, always being awarded with the highest prizes. This year, 8 students and 3 lecturers of the Chair of Design were awarded with international diplomas by the Commission of the “Zavodnoy Apelsin” International Student Packaging Competition.

3^rd and 4^th year students of the Faculty of Design Eleonora Yavryan, Nane Mirumyan, Lilit Arakelyan, Nelly Grigoryan, Movses Khudaverdyan, Mary Gyodakyan, Yeva Rubenyan, as well as the Head of the Chair of Design, Professor A.M. Baghdasaryan, PhD in Arts, Associate Professor A.H. Acharyan and Lecturer A.S. Mkrtchyan were also awarded with honorary diplomas, and 4th-year student Erika Mirzoyan was awarded with a bronze diploma. A special diploma was also awarded to the Chair of Design.

Coordinator of the International Competition Suren Chibukhchyan attended the ceremony of awarding diplomas. The latter noted that it is gratifying that NUACA continuously participates in the Competition and every year submits more works, always winning honorable places, which is evidenced by the active and massive work of the academic staff of the University to improve the academic process, the result of which is the active participation of students in the competition.

Dean of the Faculty of Design Artashes Melikyan attended the ceremony. He noted: “I congratulate our students for this result, I congratulate the Chair and I want to extend my gratitude to Mr. Chibukhchyan for supporting us for years. I attach great importance to the participation of students, especially in international competitions, because it is a new opportunity to make unique discoveries and perform on new platforms.”

Afterwards, diplomas of participation were awarded to 13 lecturers of the Faculty of Design for presenting individual project works at the “Caucasus. Construction and Renovation Expo 2023” International Exhibition. Special diplomas were also awarded to the Faculty of Design and the Chair of Design.

The Union of Designers of Armenia also participated in the  “Caucasus. Construction and Renovation Expo 2023” International Exhibition, where the individual design works of 13 lecturers of the Faculty, being members of the Union of Designers of Armenia, were presented.

Head of the Chair of Design Ashot Baghdasaryan noted: “Every year, the “Caucasus. Construction and Renovation Expo 2023” International Exhibition is organized, and we always take part. This year, for the first time, we have devoted all our attention to the participation of the academic staff of the Faculty of Design. I think it was a success, and once again I congratulate everyone.”
