NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

H. Asatryan, Professor at NUACA Chair of Architectural Design and Design of Architectural Environment participated in the “Michelangelo’s Brush” contest, held in Italy with a pastel work entitled “Solo” scoring 93 points in the contest. The contest had different categories, the age of the participants was over 10 years old. H. Asatryan was awarded with the first prize by the international commission. The Professor’s work will be exhibited on online platforms in Italy. This is not Professor’s first victory in international contests: Hayk Asatryan’s achievements and accomplishments are innumerable, his contribution to the field of Architecture is enormous. The prominent professor has been working as an architect since 1966. In 1972-1975 he was the Chief Architect of Jermuk City. He is a member of the Chamber of Architects of Armenia, as well as Union of Designers. Since 1990 H. Asatryan has been working in the Chair of Theory of Architecture, Restoration and Reconstruction of Historical-

Architectural Heritage, Fine Arts and History. H. Asatryan has received many diplomas and awards. In 1986 he was awarded with a special diploma in the “Best Project of the Year” contest, in 1989, he was awarded with the first prize in the “All-Union Competition for Low-Rise Seismic Houses”, in 2004 – Laureate’s diploma in the “Best Project and Structure of the Year” competition, in 2014 – a certificate of appreciation from the Mayor of Yerevan, in 2015 – “Trdat Architect” Gold Medal by the RA Ministry of Urban Development.
