NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The 73rd Armenian Women Chess Championship ended at Tigran Petrosyan Chess House. A member of Armenian women’s team, GM Maria Cursova won the title of the champion. Siranush Ghukasyan, a student of the NUACA Faculty of Design, and senior coach of our University chess team, member of the Armenian women’s team, grandmaster Lilit Galoyan were in the 2nd and 3rd honorary places.

The student of the NUACA Faculty of Management Nare Araqelyan also succeeded in the tournament, who took the 7th place and raised her personal rating by 67 points. After these results, Siranush Ghukasyan may probably join the National Women’s Chess Team. The NUACA Department of Physical Education and Sport and the head of the Chair Hakob Badalyan congratulate our girls for their achievements.
