University with a 100-Year History
Tatiana Krylova, Head of the Center for the Development of Employment Potential “Career” of Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography, paid a working visit to NUACA. The meeting was attended by Garnik Stepanyan, Vice-Rector for Educational Reforms, Zhanna Hakobyan, Chief Specialist at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Karina Hovhannisyan, Program Coordinator with the CIS countries, Susanna Hakobyan, President of the Student Council, Anush Margaryan, PhD in Technical Sciences at the Chair of Engineering Geodesy and lecturer Vardan Gharibyan.
The visit, initiated by the Russian side, aimed at getting acquainted with the activities, carried out with the students, covered the study and discussion of a number of important issues, including strengthening student-employer relations, providing employment for students, promoting graduates’ career development, as well as the activities of the Student Council.
During the meeting, Vice-Rector G. Stepanyan briefly presented the Reform Plan of the academic programmes, as a result of which supplementary education is highlighted, which in its turn is a stimulus for the strengthening of the graduate-university relation.
Both sides presented the problems of the field, emphasizing the active cooperation between the University and the employers, as well as attached importance to student involvement in the University activities, organized by the Student Council.
The meeting provided an opportunity to get acquainted with the activities, carried out with students and graduates of the two universities through the exchange of experience and an agreement was reached to further deepen the cooperation within the framework of joint programs.
