NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The cooperation between the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia and Italian “IRD Engineering” Company acquires a new level and opens new doors in front of the students of Construction Faculty- not in the future, but very soon they will be able to work side by side with specialists of an internationally recognized European company.

At the invitation of NUACA, the Chief Operating Director of “IRD Engineering” Company Fabio Buonomo and the representative of the same Company in Armenia Tigran Mesropyan were hosted at the University. After the tour, the parties had a round table discussion on the possible ways of expanding the cooperation.

“I am convinced that there is a large scope of mutual interests,” noted NUACA Rector Y. Vardanyan in his speech, attaching special importance to the involvement of students in practical works. Agreeing with the Rector, the Chief Operating Director of “IRD Engineering” Company Fabio Buonomo said, “Getting acquainted with the technical equipment and scientific potential of the laboratories at your University, I think it is possible to order testings on construction materials in those laboratories, as we implement large-scale programs in Armenia.”

Let us note that “IRD Engineering” Company is working on North-South Road Construction Program in Armenia and in this context, the Company’s Chief Operating Director considered it possible to involve the students of NUACA Construction Faculty in practical works within the framework of this program, as well as the ones being implemented throughout the region.

Let us remind, that on May 18, 2021 at “Elite Plaza” a trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, “IRD Engineering” Company and NUACA on the establishment of a Civil Engineering Summer School. During the meeting NUACA Rector Yeghiazar Vardanyan and the Chief Operating Director of the Italian “IRD Engineering” Company Fabio Buonomo especially emphasized the role of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure in that process, highlighting the efforts of Deputy Minister Kristine Ghalechyan.
