NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION OF ARMENIA

The National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia continues a series of meetings with the representatives of cultural, social and scientific spheres. On May 7 our guest was Karo Vardanyan- literary critic, writer, Honorary Worker of Art of the Republic of Armenia, director of the Museum of Literature and Art after Y. Charents. The meeting took place in auditorium 2025 /Architects’ Studio/. The meeting was attended by NUACA management, lecturers, staff members and students.

Karo Vardanyan is the author of 9 books, including numerous scientific and publicistic articles. It is worth mentioning a number of his works related to General Andranik (Zoravar Andranik). Besides he is the author of dozens of song lyrics (the lyrics of the NAS anthem, the lyrics of the anthem of the Gyumri “Renaissance” («Վերածնունդ») annual festival…), as well as the works “Thirteen Bells of Retribution” («Հատուցման տասներեք ղողանջ») and “Explosions in Turkey… and Not Only: ASALA from the Inside” («Պայթյուններ Թուրքիայում և … ոչ միայն. ASALA-ն ներսից»). These books contain unique details about the activities of ASALA- the Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia.

K. Vardanyan made an interesting speech, presenting his activity and works. Then the meeting continued in a discussion format, and the students asked the guest their questions. At the end of the meeting, they also thanked the University management for giving them the opportunity to meet and get to know famous people regularly.
